We already have the contestants for the 2026 Fructuós Canonge Contest!
If last year we started the Fructuós Canonge Contest strong with 8 participants, this year we are outdoing ourselves and will get to see a total of 10 participants!
The pre-selection was not easy, but receiving so many applications was a true pleasure. It brings us great joy to know that the contest is reaching more people and generating interest within the sector. After all, without contestants there is no contest, and we want to be able to award prizes that help magicians continue practicing the art of illusionism.
It is worth remembering that this is an open contest for both amateurs and professionals, which means there may be varying levels of experience. However, all the finalists participating in the live phase meet a minimum standard of quality and have the opportunity to test themselves according to evaluation criteria, deadlines, and technical requirements endorsed by the International Federation of Magic Societies (FISM).

Just as we now know the Contest participants, we also know who the Jury members will be evaluating the different performances:
The FISM-certified jury will be chaired by none other than the Vice President of FISM Europe, Xavier Tapias, and will be accompanied by the following members: Enric Magoo, May Closa, Kenris Murat, Adrian Soler, and Carmina Blay, Mayor of Montbrió del camp, the town promoting the festival together with the Ajuntament de Barcelona.
It will all take place at the Golem’S venue, which features a bar service and will allow flexible entry and exit for the audience, given the duration of the event, running for 3 and a half hours from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
Furthermore, the winning artists of the contest will perform at 9:00 PM at the Winners’ Gala, a second event featuring the award ceremony aimed at those who couldn’t make it in the afternoon and wish to enjoy a night session of high-level magic.
A més, les artistes guanyadores del concurs participaran a les 21.00 h, a la Gala dels Premiats, un segon esdeveniment on es durà a terme la cerimònia de premis i enfocat a les persones que no hagin pogut venir durant la tarda i vulguin gaudir d’una sessió nocturna de màgia d’alt nivell.
