This is the 2nd year of the Vila Màgica Festival, and the organizing team has decided to promote another aesthetic framework based on a new design. Although the festival badge will remain based on the original shield and logo, the poster, merchandise, banners and other materials will be transformed to make us experience the magic of this 2025 in an even more unique way. For now, you can see the poster:
This change is only possible thanks to the collaboration with the IED Barcelona Centre Superior de Disseny, with two locations in the Gràcia neighborhood, on Carrer de Biada and Carrer de Sant Salvador. Dedicated to training in creativity and design in the fields of Fashion, Marketing and Communication, Visual Arts, Advertising, Strategic Design, Interiors, Product and Transport, it offers a wide variety of programs such as the Bachelor’s degree, Bachelor of Arts (Hons), IED diplomas, masters, postgraduate degrees and summer courses.
What encouraged us to want to collaborate?
At Vila Màgica, we had a very clear need: the implementation of a new design through a new proposal. And an even more important goal: to attract the best magic in the world locally, working in a network.
IED Barcelona Centre Superior de Disseny has been in the Gràcia neighborhood for more than 20 years and has 1400 students annually from almost 100 nationalities. The students who graduate from it constantly influence the future of design in Europe and the whole world from their classrooms and creative laboratories in Gràcia.
This year we had the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with the 2nd year students of the Design Degree. Each one carried out a proposal of how they would visualize the Festival through banners, merchandising, roll-ups, posters… and presented it to the Organizing team.
It was spectacular. The amount of ideas, styles and proposals left us spellbound. We were able to enjoy the different cultural influences of the participants, almost all from different countries, through their proposals, making it difficult to decide on one of the projects, but in the end we opted for the proposal of Lily Skye Peper, author of this year’s design.
Well, that’s all for now… next September 9th we will hold the Presentation Event and Press Conference at the IED facilities and we will be able to hear the artist through her own voice. If you would like to attend and help us spread the word about the event, send us an email so we can include you on the access list.
