Stands out for his elegant and ironic humor, his different way of doing magic and his degree in Catalan philology

Mag Lari (Josep Maria Lari Viaplana, Barcelona 1973) has been an illusionist for 30 years. His vocation has taken him to all the theaters of Catalonia and Spain with shows such as “Secrets”, “Splenda”, “Ozom” and “25 Il·lusions”, among many others.

He has also performed in international magic festivals in France, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland and Japan.

His popularity is due, in part, to his interventions on radio and television (TVE, TV3, Antena3, La Sexta and Tele5), where he has collaborated with Albert Om, Javier Cárdenas, Andreu Buenafuente, Manel Fuentes, Carlos Sobera, El Gran Dictat and many more.

Perhaps what stands out most about Mag Lari is his way of doing things. The great communicative ability and the facet of magician-showman, add to his polished and brilliant aesthetics, to result in a different and spectacular type of magic. In 2016 he opened his own school of magic in Barcelona to train new talents.

He has presented for two seasons the program “Pura Magia” of TVE, where he was also the director of the academy and more recently he has directed the program “Magic for Humans of Netflix” and the show “Nothing is impossible” of Mago Pop represented in Madrid, Barcelona and soon on Broadway.

At this festival, he will take care of the Gala Unipersonal that will take place at El Cercle de Gràcia, while performing his most outlandish number called “Strafalari”.
